Eligibility Criteria for CM Solar Panel Scheme
Because this scheme has started especially for poor and deserving families, the Punjab government had set certain eligibility criteria in the scheme. So that this scheme can only be availed for such families who met all the eligibility criteria and have the maximum right to get it. Eligible Users
- 50 units (lifeline)
- 51-100 units (lifeline)
- 0-100 units (protected)
- 0-100 units (non-protected)
- 101-200 units (protected)
- 101-200 units (non-protected)
- Lending on June 2024 electricity bills, consumers with sanctioned loads up to 2 kW will be eligible for the scheme.
Ineligible Users for CM Solar Panel Scheme
This scheme will not be applicable for the following users:
- Those involved in power pilfering.
- Customers with faulty meters.
- Multiple meters at a single residence.
- Customers that had submitted a late bill 3 and more times in the previous 12 months
Application Process
Now the people of Punjab can easily register for the solar panel scheme. Empowering such people, the Punjab government has introduced two methods to complete the registration. From the first procedure, the interested persons can visit https://cmsolarscheme.punjab.gov.pk/ and register themselves by creating an account and applying online for solar panel.
Whereas in the other way up users who don’t have an idea to use the Internet can register with the mobile number allotted to their name. With this method, such users will have to send an SMS to 8800 containing their identity card and electricity bill reference number from the mobile phone number registered in their name, after which their registration process will be completed.
